Our new website is up and running, stay tuned as we get on our feet and add more content.
For now, you can follow us on Facebook and check out some of our first ever recordings on SoundCloud!
Sgàil comprises Grace Emery (fiddle/vocals) and Sam De Pasquale (guitar/bouzouki) who have made a name for themselves over the past few years performing in multiple other bands at events all around the UK including the Alcester contra series, Bromyard and Sidmouth folk festivals - even across the channel in Paris.
Citing influences such as Ímar, Mànran and Crowfoot, Sgàil's high-energy lyrical music has its roots in traditional folk from across the British Isles and America. Armed with a strong background in contra, a couple of songs and a growing knowledge of the Gàidhlig language, Sgàil is not the average folk experience.
We are currently taking bookings for all ceilidhs, contras, concerts and private events. To book Sgàil for any of these, please get in touch.
Have a listen to some of our first ever recordings here!
